About

I am many things. Firstly I’m a Crafter, Sewer, Quilter, Furniture Upcycler, DIYer of everything I see that I know I can Create myself and a Spiritual Soul. I love losing myself in something that I am making, whether it is some gorgeous pieces of jewellery, cutting out and sewing my own tailored clothes or making some fiddly Patchwork Quilts.

Secondly I am a Mum to two older Children, my daughter Tyler is 20 and my son Cooper is 14. I love being a Mother. There is always something to do. My kids are both very Creative too, Tyler makes her own clothes and is always at Lincraft store, either with me or on her own, she makes gorgeous jewellery pieces, gifts for her friends and clothes to wear to her many social events.  Cooper loves to draw and is an amazing self taught guitarist, always a melody coming from his bedroom! I am an Admin assistant in my day job, I’m a Crafter, Sewer, Quilter, Furniture Upcycler and DIYer of everything I see that I know I can Create myself at all other times. I am also a thinker, I will share my experiences and feelings, whether it is received or not.

I was a stay at home mum for over 10 years.  I ran a successful Party Plan business from home.  I had a Team of woman selling in excess of a Millon dollars of linen and Manchester per year.  We Rocked! My passions lie in mentoring a team, teaching them skills to help them in their lives and businesses.  I am good at that!

I currently have a “day job” and  I am an Admin assistant.  The Role is a shift work position and is taxing on my body.

February 2015 I had a brush with Death.  I had felt very unwell for 2 weeks and had gone to the Doctor every day for that time, I had heaps of tests and no one knew what was wrong with me, I went to Hospital to have tests and woke up missing a huge chunk of my bowel and had to have a Colostomy Bag for most of 2015.  It was a really hard situation to deal with.  I am a Single Parent and I look after my children on my own.  They had to look after me for that time.  I over came it and have come out the other side of multiple surgeries a Stronger more positive person with an incredible Zest for life.  Its too short not to make the most of it.  For me to be living, I have to be creating, its just the way my Life is..

I started this Blog a while ago to connect with people and tell my story.  I hope that we can get to know each other through this blog, It was originally  a hobby, but I know that this will go a long way.  I look forward to sharing my journey with you.

Some Random things about me:
1. I am naturally blonde, but get blonde highlight to dry it out!
2. I am self taught in everything. If I don’t know how to do something, I learn.
3. I have always loved to CREATE. My mother was a Dressmaker and loved to make things, she was the queen of UFO’s (Unfinished Objects) and passed that on to me.. lol
